15 best Poison songs

Poison is one of the ’80s bands that gets a lot of hate. People say that the band had no talent, and that they were only famous because of how they dressed. I think that both of those statements are false. Poison showed that they knew what they were doing (just look at their album sales and their hit songs) and many of their songs can still be heard in pop culture and on the radio.

The following is a list of my 15 favorite Poison songs.

1. Livin’ For the Minute (1988)

“Livin’ For the Minute” was a bonus track for the rerelease of Poison’s best-selling album, Open Up and Say…Ahh! I think that the record company made a big mistake by leaving this song off the album. Sure, it doesn’t have enough of a pop hook for what they wanted during the late ’80s, but the song may have helped with Poison’s credibility as a rock act.

2. Nothin’ But a Good Time (1988)

Need I say more? This song is timeless and sums of the fun of the ’80s and teenage party anthems in one swoop.

3. Unskinny Bop (1990)

4. Look What the Cat Dragged In (1986)

5. I Won’t Forget You (1986)

6. Love on the Rocks (1988)

7. Look But You Can’t Touch (1988)

8. Talk Dirty to Me (1986)

9. Bad to be Good (1988)

10. Valley of Lost Souls (1990)

11. Fallen Angel (1988)

12. Ball and Chain (1990)

13. Cry Tough (1986)

14. Back to the Rocking Horse (1988)

15. I Want Action (1986)
